Choreography
Founder Director of ANVESHANA DANCE THEATRE, Sangeeta Sharma, an
Indian contemporary dancer and choreographer with an experience of
over 23 years in the field of the Indian & western dance. Sangeetas
choreographed pieces demonstrate her unique creative and innovative
style to bring up issues facing the society, journey into the
internal struggle and conflicts of each individual, share of her
own spiritual search with the audience or even dwell into the
interconnectedness between theatre and dance
For
the last 15 years, Sangeeta has been experimenting in dance
techniques with village school children in Andretta (Himachal
Pradesh), bringing out their potential by making use of the limited
resources available in the area. With a strong base in street
theatre, she has been exploring the connection between dance and
theatre, the audience and performer through her own choreographic
work and through workshops in Himachal with actors, supported by the
Sangeet Natak Academy (2006) and National School of Drama (2007,08).
Apart from the regular dance classes in Triveni Kala Sangam
presently she is taking new production oriented workshop With
Bhoomika dancers.

with filmmakers, visual artists, theatre practitioners and Directors
